Join Claudia Gulias for this special class designed to bring openness to the body and peace to the mind. Renew yourself in every breath you take, embrace the sweet silence of quieting your thoughts and live the moment.
We will start with 45 minutes of yin poses (static poses on the ground , held for several minutes and supported with props as needed). Yin yoga is a great way to bring back elasticity to the connective tissues in the body while staying in a meditative state of acceptance of who and where we are in the present moment as we cultivate resilience.
The second part of the class will be a 45 minutes of Nidra Meditation, a guided meditation done while laying on the ground in a fully supported shavasana using bolsters, blankets and blocks. No previous experience in yoga is needed and suitable for all.
Yoga for Seniors
Name: 1.5 hr (quiero ver el interés que hay en una clase para esta población y de preferencia tiene que ser entre 11 y 2pm por que no les gusta salir ni muy temprano ni muy tarde).
This special class we will learn and practice movements appropriate for seniors, people with little mobility, people recovering from injury or surgery (need to be cleared by their doctor), and everyone interested in taking it slow! No flow or ups and downs, we will work part of the class on our feet doing therapeutic exercises and the other part on the mat practicing movement linked to the breath. Then we will end with meditation. Think about someone that could benefit from this class and make it your gift to them, we all have someone that we would love to see moving more, this is a gift of love!
